What is BPO?
 
The technology, the infrastructure and all the investments being made in the BPO industry and not small change. They run into a couple of millions of US dollars. If these forays have been successful in India and other Asian countries there is no reason why BPO should not fare exceedingly well here.
  Why BPO?
 
BPO is being chosen mainly because of the immense cost advantage it gives the parent company. The operational cost may be significantly lower in another country compared to one’s own location and hence it is also profitable. With the advancements in communication technology distances do not matter and hence BPO has become a possibility.
