How long is the training?
 
The training will last anything from six months to one year including on the job training in most instances. It also depends on the level at which you will join the organisation. While a blanket six month training period will be in force for school leavers it could last for at least a year.
 
  Do I work odd hours?
 
Well, the working hours may have to match the hours in another country overseas. Therefore you may have to work in shifts during corresponding hours when the country being serviced is having office hours.
   
  Will there be transportation?
 

Depending on your working hours you will be provided with transportation. Yes if you finish in the middle of the night you will be taken home in company provided transportation.
   
 

Will I have to speak with an accent?
 
Accent is not important for all BPO jobs. For some cases, to be understood you have to speak to another person in his/her own way. Specially if you are trying to solve a problem. But do not be unduly disturbed because before you even get into it you will be given enough opportunities to be trained.
   
  Is the work strenuous?
 
As in any job, you are expected to perform well in your job. However, definitely the work is not strenuous. You will be comfortable working in pleasant conditions. You will sitting at your own desk and carrying out your designated work. After all, it is all about job satisfaction and how you balance your life.
   
  Are there deadlines?
 
There are deadlines and targets in any job. However, you will be provided with the necessary resources to complete your work on time and you will be part of a team and your work will show results.
   
  Will I have all facilities?
 
The companies you will be serving are some of the best brands in the world. And therefore to provide them with services you yourself will be well provided with all the facilities to be successful.
   
  I’m already employed…why change?
 
Well, the BPO industry is in its infant stages. If you take the plunge and you feel confident you can make it very well. A few years from now it will not be the same, it will take quite an effort to make a breakthrough.
   
  Is the work stressful?
  Work anywhere is stressful. Its’ how you balance your life and work life. It’s all about how you will look after your health & eating habits. And if you ensure that you get the adequate hours of sleep you will have a lot of fun and the least stress.
